Coldplay pay tribute to Luton in new song

[ad_1]

Chris Martin’s Coldplay shared a new song called Orange in tribute to Luton where the band were headlining BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend.

Local fans had hoped that the lyrics to Coldplay’s hit single, Yellow, would be changed to the word orange to reflect the colour of the local football club’s kit.

Some of the lyrics in the new song referenced Luton Town’s relegation from the Premier League this season, with Chris Martin singing: “It’s hard to be a football fan here in Luton town. Sometimes you do the best you can but you find you’re going down.”
