The Princess Royal has returned home after a brief hospital stay where she was being treated for a minor injury.
Princess Anne, 73, was taken to hospital after she sustained a minor head injury and concussion thought to have been caused by a horse at her Gloucestershire estate.
Her husband Vice-Adm Sir Tim Laurence thanked hospital staff for their work.
“I would like to extend my warmest thanks to all the team at Southmead Hospital for their care, expertise and kindness during my wife’s short stay,” he said in a statement.
