A third child has died following a house fire in east London.
The blaze broke out on the ground and first floor of a terraced house on Napier Road in East Ham, shortly before 08:30 BST on Saturday.
In a statement on Monday night, the mayor of Newham, Rokhsana Fiaz, said it was with “profound sadness” she confirmed the third child’s death.
One child was confirmed dead at the scene of the fire in East Ham on Saturday morning while a second died the following night.
