Ten years ago, the 20th Commonwealth Games kicked off in Glasgow.
More than 60,000 people attended the opening ceremony – which featured dancing tea cakes, a giant Loch Ness monster and a kilted Karen Dunbar.
John Barrowman and Rod Stewart also performed before the late Queen Elizabeth officially declared the games open.
Athletes from 71 nations and territories took part in the Parade of Nations in front of a crowd of more than 60,000 people at Celtic Park.
