The Conservatives have “lost the touch” of voters, according to the latest declared MP wanting to replace Rishi Sunak as party leader.
Mel Stride said the public will not vote for a party where MPs are “at each other’s throats”.
Speaking to BBC Breakfast, the Central Devon MP listed what he believed he had achieved inside and outside Parliament. Candidates have until Monday to declare in a race due to end in November.
