Four-year-old leukaemia survivor starts school

A four-year-old from north-west London has started primary school this week, just days after finishing treatment for a rare cancer.

Noah was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, which affects the blood and bone marrow, in May 2022 when he was only two years old.

He underwent an intense round of chemotherapy followed by immunotherapy at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

But Noah finished his last round of maintenance chemotherapy in time to join his twin sister Naima for their first day of school.
