A tower block in Clydebank has been evacuated after the bomb squad was called to a “suspect item” found in a police investigation into a man’s death.

Officers have asked the public to avoid the area around Overtoun Court in the West Dunbartonshire town.

Police forensic teams have regularly been in the area since the unexplained death of the 58-year-old man on 17 October.

Train services via nearby Dalmuir station have also been suspended. ScotRail said disruption was expected to continue into early evening.
